We are Birth Begins, a California sole proprietorship (“Birth Begins”, “Company”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”).  We offer childbirth classes.  We operate the website www.birthbegins.com (“Website”).   

 

We at Birth Begins value and respect your privacy.  This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how We use the personal data that We gather through or related to your use of Our Website (whether through signing up or as a guest) and the measures We take to protect the security of this information.  Please read this policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how We collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal data.  Currently, We use your personal information related to your enrollment in classes, to contact you and provide you with information for the classes, to process payments, and to send information related to Birth Begins.

5. Third Parties.

5.1 We sometimes use third-party companies and individuals to perform functions for Us, including, but not limited to, form submissions, sending the newsletter, formatting the newsletter, streaming Our classes, processing credit card payments, social media, interactive polls and trivia, market research, surveys, and following up with you. We disclose personal information to such third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the classes, complete class registration, charge your credit card, provide customer service, and send promotional announcements to you.

5.2 Class Registration. Class registration may be handled by Wix Bookings. Your registration information is collected by Wix and communicated to Birth Begins in a secure and confidential manner.  Your credit card information is not shared with Birth Begins.  Wix and Paypal have their own privacy policies, and We invite you to review that privacy policy at https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full for Paypal and https://www.wix.com/about/privacy for Wix.

 

5.3 Virtual Classes. Virtual classes are held via Zoom.  We invite you to review that privacy policy and other polices at https://zoom.us/privacy.  During classes, there may be trivia and polls using the services from Poll Everywhere and Kahoot!.  The privacy policy and other policies can be viewed at https://www.polleverywhere.com/privacy-policy and  https://kahoot.com/privacy-policy/.

 

5.4  Form Submission: Form submissions on Our website are through Wix and are not HIPAA compliant.  The privacy policy and other polices can be viewed at https://www.wix.com/about/privacy.

Your Right to Know and Right to Deletion are not absolute and are subject to certain exceptions.
